About Me:

Rachael Wright is a bright young singer songwriter from Liverpool who is gaining widespread acclaim for her poignant voice, well crafted songs and engaging performances accompanied by her band. She has a plethora of gigs under her guitar strap, having performed the length and breadth of the U.K, recently supporting the Blind Boys of Alabama at the Liverpool Philharmonic and being invited to play at the International Songwriter's Festival in Denmark May '08.

Rachael writes songs of a startlingly honest nature. Poetic and beautiful, yet laced with occasional dark and unsettling threads. Her musings are effortlessly beguiling, drawing listeners into personal stories of relationships, journeys, times and places through sharp insight and lyrical wit. All the while emotive melodies move hand in hand with a responsive, rootsy backdrop. She creates a sound reminiscent of Suzanne Vega referenced with the charms of traditional English folk music.

March 2008 saw the release of the debut album "Just Like He Said" which is currently being well received why not check it out for yourself!
