A couple of my all time favorites are "Chase the Devil", an early 80s British TV show on Appalachian religious music (available on DVD from Shanachie) and "Searching For the Wrong Eyed Jesus", more of an "artistic documentary" but an amazing trip through southern American music.

Not really the best but I really enjoyed the Beatles first trip to the USA on the box the other day.
